- Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida:
Every day after school, and all summer long, The Boys and Girls Club provides a safe and caring club experience for children between the ages of 6 and 18 from the region’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods at no or little cost to their families. They believe that every child—regardless of their circumstances—should be empowered to excel at school, become good citizens and lead healthy productive lives. They have been serving Central Florida since 1987. Their mission is to transform the lives of homeless men, women, and children by providing crucial services to end their crisis of homelessness. This organization was formed by a group of concerned citizens who noticed the growing problem of homelessness in the community. This charity was founded in 1939. It is Central Florida’s largest supporter of local health and human service agencies. It managed more than $46 million in total resources for the 2016-2017 year.
